Plans for four homes in a village in the Fens have been withdrawn.
Steven Anderson applied for outline permission for four homes at Hockwold, near Brandon.
A planning statement said three and four bedroom properties were proposed for the site to the west of 23, Mill Lane.
"The aspiration of the applicant is to have a sustainable community environment which will be strongly integrated in meeting the housing needs of the local population first and foremost," it added.
But Hockwold parish council objected, saying there was no unmet need for housing development in the village.
It added: "There are homes on Reeves Lane whose properties back onto the proposed site.
"This development will lead to a loss of privacy for several neighbouring homes."

Nine objections and two letters of support were received by West Norfolk council's planning department.
One objector said: "Mill Lane is very narrow and to build more properties here will increase the congestion."
Mr Anderson wrote: "I understand people don't like change, our application is to build affordable housing for local people."
West Norfolk's planning portal now lists the application as withdrawn.
