From the second location of a popular pasta bar to a Malaysian restaurant, these are some of the most exciting new food openings in Norwich.
1. Yard at The Stanley, 33 Magdalen Road
Pasta bar Yard opened at Pottergate in 2021 and due to its success has launched at a second Norwich location as a kitchen residency at The Stanley pub.
It offers a range of affordable pasta dishes and on Sundays customers can get flat iron steaks with their choice of sides.
2. Mon Chai, 52 St Benedicts Street
The team behind the award-winning Indian restaurant Dhaba at Fifteen in Magdalen Street has opened a Bangladeshi café in the Norwich Lanes.
It offers the spiced tea drink chai, with varieties such as pink, caramel and saffron, alongside a range of small plates and mains, with Bangladeshi all-day breakfasts available too.
3. My Makan, Westlegate
Malaysian restaurant My Makan has just opened above Evans Cycles in Westlegate and it serves authentic dishes from the Asian country.

The menu ranges from satay to rendang curry and there are plenty of vegan options too.
4. Silhouette, 114 Timber Hill
Cocktail bar and restaurant Silhouette opened earlier this year at the Timber Hill entrance to the Castle Quarter.

Its extravagant cocktails and interiors have proved a hit with customers, with bottomless brunch launching soon.
5. Emporium Norwich, Hellesdon Barns
On the outskirts of the city at Hellesdon Barns, Brazillian-born Marcela Da Costa launched a homemade chocolate shop and café there in February 2022.
She started the business in December 2019 while on maternity leave with her daughter Manuela and she also offers delivery across the UK.
