Two major high street retailers have issued product recalls for items that might pose serious health hazards.

John Lewis and Argos have issued recalls for products in their home ranges including sleeping bags for babies and sofas.

The Winnie the Pooh Sleeping Bag Friends Forever and Winnie the Pooh Sleeping Bag Exploring Sizes have been recalled by John Lewis due to a risk that the poppers can become insecure and detach, becoming a potential choking hazard.

The retailer warns if you have bought this product to stop using it immediately and return it to a John Lewis & Partners branch for a full exchange or refund.

Argos has issued recalls for the following items which failed to meet the required fire safety standards and if exposed to a naked flame could catch fire.

The retailer advises that if customers bought a Tammy sofa or footstool during the relevant time period it can still be used provided it doesn’t come into contact with fire sources.

Customers can contact the Argos customer service team to arrange delivery of an alternative model or refund.
