With a nationally recognised airshow and a popular country park, this Norfolk village is certainly on the rise.
Old Buckenham, near Attleborough, is fast becoming Norfolk's most up-and-coming village and here are some of the reasons why.
1. Old Buckenham Airshow
The Old Buckenham Airshow has been running for more than a decade and this year it will cement its status as one of the UK's best events of its kind with an appearance from the Red Arrows.
Other highlights in 2023 include the Typhoon fighter and bomber and the RAF Falcons Parachute Display Team and it will run over the weekend of July 29 and 30.

2. Filming location
Film crews headed to The Green in Old Buckenham in August 2022 for the filming of Paramount+ crime drama The Chemistry of Death, based on the novel by Simon Beckett set in Norfolk.
Temporary signage turned The Ox and Plough pub into The Black Lamb.
3. Harrow and Fearn
New wine refill shop Harrow and Fearn is opening in a building by The Green over Mother's Day weekend and it will also offer takeaway coffees, bread and Danish buns.
It will be open at weekends and is the brainchild of Matthew Harrowven who lives in the town.
Also along The Green is a great village shop stocking all the essentials, with a friendly welcome guaranteed.
4. Old Buckenham Country Park
Old Buckenham Country Park was opened by Ben Devlin in 2019 and it boasts a camping and glamping site and lakeside café too.
It regularly holds events, including the Hot Air Balloon Festival which runs this year from August 11 to 13.
5. Great pubs
Old Buckenham is also home to two great pubs - The Ox and Plough and The Gamekeeper.
The Ox and Plough hosts motorbike meetings, classic car and family fun days and The Gamekeeper serves Woodforde's Brewery ales and locally-sourced dishes.
