A car park next to a town centre Sainsbury's has been earmarked for a multi-storey flat development.
The application to build the block of flats on land to the rear of numbers 41 and 42 Norfolk Street in King's Lynn has been submitted to the council.
The site, off Oldsunway, is currently used for car parking and is opposite the Sainsbury's supermarket car park, close to the bus station.

A planning statement says: "The development would see a single building with associated amenity providing waste/recycle bins and storage for cycles. The development would be residential use only."
It says three two-bed flats could be built on the site, which is "within a short walk" of Lynn town centre.
It adds: "The surrounding area and recent developments support a multi-storey residential development within the area with recent approval for a two and three-storey residential development upon Oldsunway."
The proposed flats are described as "market housing". A decision is expected from West Norfolk council later this year.
