King Charles III's artistic flair will be on show at a new exhibition coming to the Sandringham Estate.
Through more than 40 of the King’s watercolours, many British geographic landscapes and royal residences will be on display from April 1 to October 12 2023 in the Ballroom at Sandringham House.

This includes the Welsh hills, highlands of Scotland, Windsor Castle, Highgrove, Birkhall Castle and the surrounding Norfolk countryside at Sandringham.
In recent years, His Majesty’s watercolours depicting scenes around the world have been exhibited at Hampton Court Palace in 1998 and at The National Gallery of Australia in 2018.
Marking the year of the coronation, this collection of watercolours at Sandringham will be a unique exhibition as it focuses entirely on scenes and landscapes from around the UK.

He previously wrote in 1991 for the book HRH The Prince of Wales Watercolours: "I took up painting entirely because I found photography less than satisfying.
"Quite simply, I experienced an overwhelming urge to express what I saw through the medium of watercolour."
