A Norwich Indian restaurant rated top on TripAdvisor has now been declared the best in the UK at an awards ceremony.
Namaste Village in Queens Road was named the vegetarian restaurant of the year at The Nation's Curry Awards 2023.
The event took place in Manchester in February and was the first year, aimed at honouring the UK’s rich and diverse curry culture.
It celebrates the best restaurants and chefs across the country, with the winners judged on quality, innovation and consistency in offering a truly memorable dining experience.

Namaste Village is run by Ketan Vaghasiya and brothers Dalsukh Jetani and Vijay Jetani and it recently underwent a huge refurbishment.
A spokesman for the awards said: "The UK’s curry industry is a vital part of our culture and these awards recognised the exceptional talents of the individuals and businesses that make it so special."
Namaste Village also holds seasonal street food carnivals at the restaurant, with the next one on June 18.
