A Norfolk panto star looks back on his time playing the boy that never grew up in a new BBC series.

Roleplay is a new arts strand on BBC Radio 4 that explores stories from across the world from actors who have played the same part.

The latest episode about Peter Pan takes listeners from civil war in Sri Lanka to panto in Great Yarmouth.

They talk about the magic of the role, but also the dark side of JM Barrie's story with themes of loneliness, abandonment and death.

Great Yarmouth panto: Peter Pan draws record audience numbers

Charlie Randall starred as Peter Pan in the 2022 pantomime at St George's Theatre in Great Yarmouth and features in the episode. 

The series is produced by Sam Grist, whose parents live in Ludham, and Camellia Sinclair.

Mr Grist said: "We got lots of interesting stories about how the role had personally affected people and how the character of Peter Pan has changed."
