People living around RAF Marham are being warned of late night flights by "small propeller aircraft" which will be taking off from the station's runways next week.

The west Norfolk air base, which is the home of the RAF and Royal Navy's F-35 Lightning stealth fighters, says they will be taking place from Monday night through to the early hours of Wednesday to help personnel to fine tune its radar equipment.

It said: "There will be flying activity by small propeller aircraft around RAF Marham on the following days and approximate timings.

"They will be conducting essential radar calibration checks during that time."

Flights will be taking place from 10pm on Monday, February 27 to 1.30am on Tuesday, February 28.

There will also be flights taking place involving the same piston-engined aircraft from 10pm on Tuesday, February 28 until 2.30am on Wednesday, March 1.
