A man who died following a crash on the A134 in Mundford has been named as Arunas Steiblys.
A local factory worker, Mr Steiblys died after his VW Golf was involved in a crash with a Ford Fusion at 2.05pm on Wednesday, February 1.
An inquest into the 47-year-old's death was opened at Norfolk Coroner’s Court at County Hall, Norwich, on Wednesday, February 22.
Assistant coroner Christopher Leach confirmed that Mr Steiblys, of Harwood Avenue, Thetford, was born on January 7, 1976, in Utena in north-east Lithuania. He was married to Inga Steibliene.
A pathologist has suggested that the cause of death was a chest and head injury due to a road traffic collision.
On the day of the crash, two air ambulances attended and the road was closed between the Mundford roundabout and the A11 roundabout.
Mr Steiblys died at the scene, while a man in his 20s was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.
The inquest has been adjourned and a pre-inquest review hearing will take place on May 17, 2023.
