People can take a child to the zoo for under £5 in the coming months.

Banham Zoo and Africa Alive will be offering 20,000 discounted tickets for children under 15 on selected dates from February to July.

The Zoological Society of East Anglia (ZSEA) hopes to extend the promotion with a similar initiative from August to December.

Starting this weekend (February 18), £5 pre-book only child tickets will be available online only via the ZSEA website.

Tickets will be limited to two children for every one full-paying adult.

Pupils from Banham Primary School and Kessingland Church of England Primary School as well as all home-schooled children within Banham and Kessingland will also be offered one free ticket for themselves and an accompanying adult to be used between now and July 31.

Tickets will be distributed shortly to each school.

Home-school pupils within Banham Village, Norfolk or Kessingland Village, Suffolk are asked to email info@zsea.org to receive their free child and accompanying adult ticket.
