S Club 7 have announced they are reuniting for a UK tour later this year just weeks after Hannah Spearritt revealed that she and her family had been living in temporary housing.

The seven-piece pop group, which were formed in 1998, will reunite later this year in celebration of their 25th anniversary.

Spearritt, who is from Gorleston, also had to move into an office over Christmas and the New Year after being forced out by her landlord.

She was just 18 when she was thrust into the spotlight as a TV and pop star adored by millions of fans, and according to The Sun, Spearritt earned £150,000 a year when she was performing with S Club 7.

The 41-year-old became a TV actress, with roles in shows such as ITV’s Primeval.

In an interview with The Sun, Spearritt said: "Our landlord needed the money and the property sold so fast.

"We ended up with under two days to leave.

"What screwed us is we didn't have time to find another place. We had somewhere over Christmas but ran out of time before we could move in. It was just a couple of weeks."

She said they were allowed to stay in their friend's office, which they used as their living room.

"It was extra space. It was stressful but you deal with it, don't you? Especially with the kids."

Spearritt said public perception of her and fellow bandmates as "millionaires" was "just not true".

She added: "It was what it was and we enjoyed ourselves at the time."

S Club 7 were originally created by former Spice Girls manager Simon Fuller.

After breaking up in 2003, they briefly came back together in 2014 to perform a medley of their best-known songs for the BBC Children In Need appeal.

The group confirmed everyone had immediately agreed to reunite as it “felt like the right time” for them.

During their five years together they produced four studio albums with their debut, S Club, launching in 1999.

The group also achieved number one status on a number of tracks including Never Had A Dream Come True and Have You Ever.

The band said: “We can’t even believe it’s been so long. Music and friendship have always been at the core of everything that we’ve ever done.

“We hope everyone can join us for one big party.”

The group will open their 11-date tour on October 13 in Liverpool’s M&S Bank Arena before continuing to cities including Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle and Manchester, ending at the O2 in London.
