The head of Great Yarmouth police is appealing for information after the fatal stabbing of a man in the town.
Police superintendent Nathan Clark issued his appeal after a man died from stab wounds in Wellington Road, Great Yarmouth yesterday afternoon.
Supt Clark said: "We deployed specialist forces who are continuing their ongoing investigations.
"Our investigations are ongoing.
"We will be working closely with the families.
"If anyone has any information then please get in touch, this is incredibly important.
"This is a shocking incident and we are working closely with the families involved.
"We ask people to please be patient with our investigation because we are working our very hardest to bring justice."
Initial enquiries suggested the disturbance started in St Peters Road before the brawl spilt over to Wellington Road.
Wellington Road is where the stabbing took place.
Emergency services were called to Wellington Road shortly after 12.40pm following reports of a disturbance.
The incident comes at a time of heightened police activity in the town, after a major incident was declared following the discovery of a Second World War unexploded bomb in the river at the third river crossing construction site.
Anyone with information on the fatal stabbing should contact Norfolk Police on 101 quoting incident number 176 of Wednesday's date.
