Ahead of World Pizza Day, we take a look at the seven best-rated places to grab a slice in Norwich, according to Tripadvisor.
1. Saporita Norwich
Where: 3A St Andrews Hill, Norwich, NR2 1AD
Saporita Norwich was awarded the Tripadvisor's Choice in 2022, serving Italian, Mediterranean, Sicilian and Southern-Italian street food and pizza.
Their affordable pizzas range in price from £5.80 to £7.60.
2. Donnelli's Pizzeria
Where: 17 Timberhill, Norwich, NR1 3JZ
Eric Donnelly, 60, has lived in Norwich since he was 23 and opened Donnelli's Pizzeria in 2015.
With lots of regulars, he said: "being well supported is really appreciated".
David Wagner and Christoph Buhler, his long-term assistant, have been visiting Donnelli's Pizzeria in Timber Hill regularly - often going in every other week and saying it is "fantastic".
3. Brick Pizza
Where: 39 Market Place, Norwich, NR2 1ND
Brick Pizza offers classic Italian wood-fired pizzas.
It first opened as a restaurant by Norwich Market in 2015 and in 2019 the business diversified by stocking frozen pizzas everywhere from farm shops to bakeries.
It has recently added two new flavours to its frozen range of pizzas to eat at home.
4. Sicily Trattoria Pizzeria da Rocco e Bruno
Where: 3 Bridewell Alley, Norwich, NR2 1NB
Originally run by Rocco Consiglio and Bruno Armenante on Norwich Market, the duo opened their permanent restaurant in Bridewell Alley in June 2021.
The menu includes 18 pizzas and all dishes can be adapted to be gluten-free and vegan.
5. Pinocchios Restaurant
Where: 11 St Benedicts St, Norwich, NR2 4PE
A family-run, much-loved restaurant in the hub of St Benedicts Street is Pinocchios's, which has been operating since 2015 by brothers Andrea and Gonario Villa.
The cosy environment is friendly and welcoming, with an authentic Italian menu to match the traditional decor.
