The future of the walk-in centre in Norwich is set to be debated by councillors next month, amid fears its closure will pile pressure on A&E departments.
Health bosses are currently considering whether or not to renew the Rouen Road service after its contract expires in March 2024.
And as NHS Norfolk and Waveney leaders continue to mull over its future, the proposals are set to be debated by councillors next month.
Green Party city councillor Sandra Bogelein highlighted her concerns in a letter to Alison Thomas, who chairs the Norfolk health overview and scrutiny committee - requesting the committee urgently scrutinise the plans.
She wrote: "A number of people have explicitly expressed that closure would very likely increase pressure on A&E as people think of it in a similar way; open out of hours and weekends, one clear, central location, no appointment needed and face-to-face."
In her reply, Mrs Thomas confirmed the proposals had already been included in the agenda of the committee's next meeting - on March 23.
