A man found with more than £1/2m worth of drugs in his car after being stopped on the A11 has been told he could face further charges.

Police who stopped Anthony Clinton, 59, near Wymondham in the early hours of October 11 last year discovered 21kg of ketamine, a powerful horse tranquilliser and anaesthetic that has become an increasingly popular recreational drug.

Clinton, of Cromes Place, Badersfield, has pleaded guilty to eight offences including five counts of possession with intent to supply ketamine and other class A and B drugs as well as three offences of possession of drugs.

Appearing before Norwich Crown Court he was told he could face further charges related to drugs, including a further 7kg of ketamine, discovered at his home.

Matthew McNiff, defending, said it was the second time his sentencing had been adjourned due to a “lack of clarity”.

Judge Katherine Moore said: “It’s not right to press ahead with a half formed case because that is not justice.”

Clinton was remanded in custody until March 14 when a new date will be fixed for his sentencing.
