Two much-loved fish and chip restaurants on the Norfolk coast are in the running to be named the best in the UK.
Eric's Fish and Chips in Thornham and Henry's of Hunstanton are both among the five finalists in the restaurant category at the National Fish and Chip Awards 2023.
The awards are coordinated by The National Federation of Fish Friers, celebrating restaurants, takeaways, newcomers and more.
The winners will be revealed at a ceremony in London on February 28, hosted by comedian Jason Manford.
Eric's Fish and Chips in Thornham, with other branches in St Ives in Cambridgeshire and Holt, is owned by Eric Snaith, also behind the nearby fine dining restaurant Titchwell Manor.
He has just launched a sharing plates menu at the Thornham and Holt restaurants.
Henry's of Hunstanton overlooks the green and The Wash and its menu includes battered king prawns and steak and ale pie alongside traditional chip shop fare.
