A 37-year-old inspired to start her business by an Australian craze has said she will need to be "savvy" this year as she expands her firm.

Board, Box and Graze, based in Lowestoft, offers 10-foot-long charcuterie-style boards and boxes for events and gifts.

Customers can choose from savoury boards featuring cheese and meats, breakfast boards filled with pastries and fruit, or sweet boards.

The business was started by Amy Matthews, who is a banker, after she saw a gap in the market for the craze which is big in Australia and New Zealand.

Everything is freshly baked and all the items on the boards are local, including produce from Fen Farm Dairy in Bungay and Penny Bun Bakehouse in Lowestoft.

The brownies and sausage rolls are handmade by Mrs Matthews.

As the business turns two, Mrs Matthews is planning to attend wedding fairs and start postal orders, as well as catering for offices.

"I'm learning still and will need to be savvy this year but it has been a crazy rollercoaster," she said.

"I've really enjoyed being creative with it and the customers' faces when they open the box are the best.

"It makes it all worthwhile when you see how grateful and wowed they are."
