Rail passengers can get from Norwich to London for £10 this winter as part of a new Greater Anglia ticket deal.

The train operator has launched its "winter hare fares" offering a number of off-peak day return deals across its network.

And children can travel even cheaper for only £2 a return.

Martin Moran, customer services director, said: “Travelling by train is cheaper than you think and our new bargain Hare Fares mean people can travel for less.

“Our region has so much to offer and whether it’s a trip to the city or coast, shopping or sightseeing, we’re giving people more money to spend on having a great time by helping them save money on their train fare."

Passengers can get a return ticket from Norwich to Cambridge for £10 and tickets from Norwich to London are £20 return.

There is no limit on the number of tickets but they must be booked between January 24 and February 12.

However, industrial strike action is continuing to impact the nation's railways, with customers advised to not travel between Wednesday, February 1, and Friday, February 3, due to industrial action.

Hare fares can be booked on the Greater Anglia website or app only.
