Three Norfolk gastropubs are celebrating this evening after they were named among the best in the UK at a prestigious national awards ceremony.
The White Horse, in Brancaster Staithe was ranked 34th on the Estrella Damn's Top 50 Gastropubs guide for 2023 - the highest-ranked Norfolk pub.
Stanhoe's The Duck Inn was ranked 40th and The Gunton Arms in north Norfolk was listed at 46th.
The White Horse was a new entry on the list and received high praise from voters.
Rob Williamson, general manager, said staff were "over the moon" after hearing the news.
Estrella Damm's list ranks the UK’s best gastropubs according to votes from more than 400 owners, food critics, and other industry experts.
Chris Lowe, who helped compile the list said: “We are thrilled to see such a strong list of contenders this year, including five new entrants.
"The Top 50 Gastropubs provides a space for food and drink lovers the opportunity to explore the best that the UK has to offer."
The Parkers Arms in Newton-In-Bowland was crowned as this year's winner.
The awards ceremony was held at last year's winner The Unruly Pig near Woodbridge.
