A crash in which three people died happened on the same bend as a collision five years earlier in which two men lost their lives.
Police have put out signs appealing for information on the A47 at Constitution Hill, east of the Hardwick Roundabout, on the outskirts of King's Lynn where the latest tragedy happened.
A man and a woman, who were aged in their 40s and a woman in her 20s were pronounced dead at the scene, after a collision involving their white Vauxhall Mokka and a black BMW X5 at 7.40pm on Sunday.
It happened on a bend on a slight incline, around half a mile from the busy roundabout on an unlit stretch of single carriageway.
Two men from the Wisbech area lost their lives after a collision on the same stretch of road in January 2018.
James Cox, 46, and Riki Boughen, 43, died after their Ford Transit van was involved in a head-on collision with a coach.
A 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and questioned by police investigating the crash on Sunday night.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the manner of driving of either vehicle, or saw the crash, to call 101 quoting reference 36/3637/23 or e-mail SCIU@Norfolk.police.uk.
