Two Norfolk restaurants will battle it out against competition from across the country to be named the 'Best British Kebab' - despite having no meat on the menu.
Resist! Vegan Kitchen in King's Lynn and Döner Bei Tante Anne in Norwich are finalists in the British Kebab Awards in the category of Best Vegan Kebab.
It is the third consecutive year Resist! Vegan Kitchen has been nominated for the award, which will be decided at an award ceremony in Westminister next year.
Both restaurants are relative newcomers to Norfolk's food scene.
Döner Bei Tante Anne opened in Wensum Street in Norwich in July 2021, serving a range of dishes that make use of vegan meat substitute seitan.
In June, Resist! vegan kitchen relocated from Peterborough to King's Lynn, becoming the first fully vegan restaurant in the town.
The British Kebab Awards, in association with Just Eat, aims to recognise the efforts of takeaways and restaurants across the nation and find out which eateries stand out among the rest.
