A growing number of smoked fish products have been recalled by Lidl over fears they could be contaminated by harmful bacteria.
The Food Standards Agency has urged people to take caution and not eat the products as they could contain listeria, which can cause people to become unwell if eaten.
A total of five smoked fish products have now been included in the recall, after an initial two.
A number of smoked salmon and smoked trout products, items which are often consumed over the Christmas and New Year period, could be contaminated with listeria.
Symptoms caused by this organism can be similar to flu and include high temperature, muscle ache or pain, chills, feeling or being sick and diarrhoea, according to the Food Standards Agency.
However, in rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications, such as meningitis.
Some people are more vulnerable to listeria infections, including those over 65 years of age, pregnant women and their unborn babies, babies less than one month old and people with weakened immune systems.
Affected customers should not eat the products and instead return them to the nearest Lidl store for a full refund.
