Unthank Road, one of the major routes into Norwich city centre, was blocked this morning after a person was hit by a car, but the road has now reopened.
It happened at the crossing opposite the parade of shops where Hurn Chemist and Unthank Fish and Chips are at around 11.30am on Saturday (December 24).
A person was seen lying in the road with a crowd of people around them.
There were three ambulances, including a critical care car, and five police cars at the scene.
A police accident sign was put out and the road and one side of the pavement were taped off, with four 25-route buses parked up as they were unable to pass.
As of 1.15pm, the road is now back open in both directions.
There is currently no information on the condition of the person involved.
