People in Norfolk are being warned about emails from scammers claiming to be from a business providing self-employed workers and small firms with accounting software.
Norfolk Trading Standards are advising locals and businesses to be aware of a phishing email from fraudsters posing as FreshBooks.
The scam is designed to obtain personal details for identity fraud and to fleece bank accounts.
Genuine FreshBooks users are being notified of the scam via Twitter and other social media, however fraudsters are targeting individuals at random.
If people receive something like this, they have been urged to think before clicking on any links or responding.
Criminals often include the branding and logos of trusted organisations in emails to trick unsuspecting people into thinking they're genuine.
For more information on reporting any suspicious messages or calls, they should visit the GOV.UK website.
