People planning to visit Sandringham on Christmas Day have been warned that traffic restrictions will be in place.
Norfolk Constabulary is urging people to arrive in plenty of time to access the public viewing area due to usual precautionary measures, which includes searches upon entry.
Local officers will also be on duty around the Sandringham Estate to make sure people can arrive and leave the area easily.
This year King Charles is preparing to mark the first Christmas since the death of the Queen.
Charles and Camilla will celebrate Christmas Day at the late Queen’s former Norfolk Estate with members of the monarchy - marking a return to traditional royal festivities.
The gathering at Sandringham will be the first time the Royal Family has spent Christmas at the private royal residence since 2019.
Sandringham Royal Parkland remains open on Christmas Day for winter walks, running, dog walks and cycling.
Parking is free and toilets at the courtyard are open from 8am to 1pm while all other facilities remain closed.
Road closures and diversions will be in place in the area.
