A London couple who recently moved to Norwich are opening a "fashion-forward" vintage clothing shop in the Lanes.

Husband-and-wife duo Myles Oakley, 64, and Sarah Perry, 56, are launching Vintage Apparel at 15 St Giles Street on Tuesday, December 27.

Prices will start at £9.99 and there will be both menswear and womenswear, with brands including Patagonia, Nike and The North Face.

Mr Oakley said: "Vintage Apparel will be fashion-forward with recent trends ranging from combat pants and mini skirts to big coats and ski suits.

"We moved to Norwich five months ago as my wife grew up in Norfolk and we have friends here.

"We took a walk around Norwich and loved the vibe with all the independent shops and there seemed like a real community spirit.

"I then came across the shop and thought it would be a great opportunity."

He previously ran the vintage brand East End Thrift Store in London, which had concessions in places such as Selfridges and House of Fraser, and Mrs Perry is a graphic designer.

Vintage Apparel will be open 10am to 6pm Monday to Saturday and 11am to 4pm on Sundays.
