Part of a town's road will close for seven weeks while work costing £96,000 takes place on the footpath.

The essential footway maintenance work is due to start shortly after Monday, January 9, on Lynewood Road in Cromer.

It will involve reconstructing the footpath including vehicle accesses, replacing some of the existing kerbs and installing new edging at the back of the footpath.

The work is expected to take around seven weeks to complete, subject to suitable weather conditions.

During this time, Lynewood Road near its junction with Northrepps Road will close.

A fully signed official diversion route will be in place throughout.

A Norfolk County Council spokesperson said: "We would like to thank the public for their patience while this footway maintenance work is carried out."
