And today we are continuing the series and rewinding to the 1980s with these old photos from our archive.

There are frozen river scenes and roads blocked by impassable drifts.
We see people working hard to clear the snow across the county.
There are policemen, scouts, ponies and sledgers - all braving the chilly conditions.
We even found a photo of panto performers who seemed to have gotten lost in Wayland Wood...
