A man has died and a woman has been left with life-threatening injuries after a crash on the A146.
Officers were called to the A146, close to the junction with The Street and Vale Road, at 11am today (December 16) following reports of a crash involving a red car and a Coastlink bus.
The driver of the car, a man in his 80s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
A woman in her 80s, who was a passenger in the car, suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital where she remains.
Some of the passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries.
Chris Speed, operations director at First Eastern Counties, said: "One of our buses was involved in a serious road traffic incident this morning that caused some minor injuries to some of our travelling passengers.
"Our driver was also taken to hospital by ambulance suffering with shock and minor injuries.
"We are helping the police and emergency services with their investigation into the cause of the incident."
An investigation has been launched and enquiries are ongoing.
Officers would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have witnessed the incident or have dashcam footage of the area.
