A historic hotel in north Norfolk is in the midst of a huge refurbishment which has seen the ballroom spruced up and a new terrace added with views of the North Sea.
The Cliftonville Hotel in Cromer is in the process of undergoing a huge overhaul - estimated to cost £750,000 by the time it is complete.
The refurbishment, which started in June, is set to be finished early next year with the last 20 rooms renovated in the coming months
So far, the hotel's ground-floor rooms have been refurbished alongside 10 of the bedrooms, the ballroom, and a new-look sea-view terrace.
The City Club Pub Company took over the dog-friendly Edwardian hotel in September 2021 and offers a menu of pub classics with lots of local produce including Cromer crab.
General manager at The Cliftonville, Steven Wild, 31, said: "We are looking to make The Cliftonville a staple of Cromer once again.
"We were keen to make it modern but to keep the character, including the stained glass and fireplace.
"The feedback has been very good - lots of oohs and aahs.
"Both myself and Ollie, the operations director and regional manager, are both local and very passionate about the area."
The hotel, which was built in 1897, will offer hot chocolates and brunch on Boxing Day as freezing swimmers take part in the winter dip in the North Sea.
Hot water bottles and blankets will be available among other offerings on New Year's Day as hundreds of people visit the town for the much-loved fireworks.
