A failed police dog is in need of a loving owner after spending five years at an animal sanctuary waiting to find his forever home.
Chase, a seven-year-old German Shepherd Cross Malinois, arrived at PACT in 2017 after not having the qualities needed to make it as a canine officer.
Staff at the animal sanctuary in Hingham are "heartbroken" he has not found the right fit after being rehomed twice before.
He was brought back to the animal sanctuary as his adopters found he had too much energy.
Chase is very intelligent and requires high, strong fencing that he can't jump out of.
He walks well on a lead, has basic training, and would be happiest as an only pet in an adult-only home.
He loves to play with a boomer ball and in a paddling pool - and also gives great hugs.
Chase requires mental stimulation and would be an excellent CaniCross or agility partner.
Anyone who is interested in rehoming Chase should email PACT Animal Sanctuary via rehoming@pactsanctuary.org.
