A local developer is working with rival house builders to support the industry's move towards building eco-friendly homes.
Hopkin Homes, which has developments across East Anglia, has joined Future Homes Hub - an organisation that brings together 40 of the largest companies in the homebuilding sector.
The group's focus is on collaborating across the industry, including its supply chain, to meet climate and environmental targets when building new homes.
Lee Barnard, group managing director at Hopkins Homes, said that the industry body was working towards a future "where all new build homes will be zero carbon ready and sustainable".
He added: “At Hopkins Homes, we’re already making great strides towards this with our ‘fabric first’ approach to house building, but there’s no denying that our industry is facing its biggest challenge and we want to be part of the conversation and the solution.”
