Escape the cold and tuck into a delicious lunch packed with local produce at this Norfolk gastropub.

The Duck Inn in Stanhoe, near Burnham Market, features in a new list by The Good Food Guide of the cosiest pubs in Britain to visit for a winter lunch.

The Duck Inn has been run by couple Ben and Sarah Handley since 2013 and writer Elizabeth Carter said it tells "Norfolk’s food story through the accomplished, fuss-free cooking of local ingredients".

This includes a "renowned" Sunday lunch using meat from local butcher Arthur Howell, a "majestic" pork chop from nearby Swannington and Cromer crabs.

This locality also applies to the wine list, which includes Cobble Hill sparkling rosé made from grapes grown in Burnham Market.

Chef patron Mr Handley also recently launched a takeaway menu of its popular flatbreads and jars of sauces to buy in time for Christmas.
