A Norfolk pub is offering customers a free hot drink and nibbles on Christmas Day to try and combat loneliness.
The London Tavern, in Attleborough, will welcome punters between 11am and 12.30pm on December 25, when 'Tavern Christmas Tokens' can be exchanged for the complimentary treats.
Tokens can be collected from the pub throughout December.
They are being handed out in a bid to encourage locals who might otherwise be alone to come out, socialise and enjoy some company - regardless of their financial situation.
Friends and neighbours are able to collect tokens on behalf of people they know who are expecting to spend Christmas Day on their own.
Taila Taylor, whose family run the London Tavern, said: "We’re always looking for ways to give back to our community.
"There is such an emphasis now - especially since Covid - on loneliness, isolation and obviously the cost of living as well.
"This will be completely free and is all about creating a warm environment."
