The Met Office has issued an amber alert for Norfolk ahead of a spell of 'severe' cold weather with temperatures to plummet below freezing.
A level 3 warning has been issued for the county from Wednesday, December 7, to Monday, December 12, with vulnerable people considered at risk.
Arctic winds will bring subzero temperatures to much of the country with widespread frost and possible lows of -7C in remote parts of Norfolk.
Very cold nights are expected and temperatures are likely to remain close to, or below freezing during the day.

There is also a chance of wintry showers, particularly in coastal areas.
People are urged to look after those who may be affected by the cold and to avoid spending prolonged time outdoors.
There could also be delays to travel due to icy conditions, with drivers warned to take extra caution on the roads.
