Construction and waste management firm Anglian Demolition and Asbestos has been named the winner of the Large Business of the Year award, sponsored by Jarrold Training, at the Norfolk Business Awards 2022.
Anglian Demolition and Asbestos was first founded in 2007 and has grown to become a respected company within the region’s construction and waste management sectors.
Based in Attleborough, Anglian Demolition and Asbestos’ 100-plus employees have contributed to a number of projects including recent work on Norwich Castle and RAF Marham Hangar.
The teams offer expertise in demolition, scaffolding, asbestos removal and earthworks as part of the company’s contracting division, and also provide trade waste collections, skip hire, anaerobic digestion and metal recycling in the waste management division.
The judges said Anglian Demolition and Asbestos’ “passion and commitment” shone through and felt its approach to managing and reducing environmental impact was very strong. They said the firm offers “great examples of supporting staff,” from mental health support to caps on travel time.
“We are ecstatic to have won this award,” said Lucy Parkinson, group business development manager at Anglian Demolition and Asbestos. “The initial announcement was a significantly moving experience for the whole team.
“It’s a proud moment in Anglian’s history, particularly during these unprecedented times, and we plan to utilise this exposure in promoting our services in East Anglia.”
