A seaside restaurant and "successful" holiday home offering "stunning" views along the north Norfolk coast is going up for auction.

The former View Restaurant in Beach Road, Mundesley, is currently being listed with Auction House East Anglia for £450,000.

It comes after the business closed back in August.

The restaurant originally opened in the summer of 2021, following a "huge" refurbishment to modernise the building - which also included the two two-bed flats above.

It was done by co-owner Carly Williamson, who bought the site and moved to Norfolk from Essex during the coronavirus pandemic with a dream of running a successful seaside restaurant.

And despite a "fantastic" first year, due to personal circumstances, she said she is "heartbroken" to be letting it go.

The 39-year-old said: "I'm having to part with my baby for no other reason than personal circumstances. It's heart-breaking really.

"But this is such an amazing opportunity for someone. Mundesley is a beautiful village and we are in such a stunning spot."

Located overlooking the beach and seashore, this prominent restaurant has recently been updated and facilities now include a leased stainless steel professionally fitted kitchen, preparation areas and internal and external customer toilet facilities.

The restaurant can accommodate up to 60 covers and includes an outdoor seating area.

Above the restaurant are two "generously proportioned" two-bedroom flats each with private balcony areas with panoramic coastal views.

A spokesperson from Auction House East Anglia said this is an "exciting and highly valuable business and investment opportunity" that has the potential for the new owner to grow the all-year-round trade and enjoy added income from the two flats, one of which was being used as a "successful" Airbnb holiday let.

Ms Williamson added: "It needs somebody to build the business which I didn’t have time to do.

"Being a seaside location, you need to bring the crowds in the winter but there is plenty of potential and a lot of people were really sad to see us close.

"I just hope it goes to somebody who loves it as much as I do and can continue our vision.

"I would also like to say a big thank you to our loyal and local customers who supported us throughout this short-lived adventure."
