Vintage trains lit up like Christmas trees have taken to the rails between Sheringham and Holt.
The North Norfolk Railway’s Norfolk Lights Express has got underway for its 2022 season with new features already proving a hit with passengers.
Graham Hukins, the railway’s commercial manager, said: “Since it debuted in 2019, the Norfolk Lights Express has become a firm festive favourite and this year we have reworked the on-board story and added additional lineside displays to make the show better than ever.”
He added: “We have also included a bar car in the train so passengers enjoy a drink during the interval at Holt. The trains are proving as popular as ever and although two-thirds of the tickets have sold already, there are spaces available on most days.”
Lights mounted to the outside of the train illuminate the passing countryside, and there are 10 illuminated dioramas along the route.
Tickets, including reserved seats, are £20. Visit www.nnrailway.co.uk for more information.
The Lights Express services continue until January 11.
