A Lowestoft man has denied robbing a vulnerable man at knifepoint in his home.

Shinda Lee told Ipswich Crown Court that the alleged victim, who has mild learning difficulties, gave him two mobile phones and a games console to settle a debt.

He denied threatening the man with a knife and claimed that the alleged victim had lent him his bike.

Lee, 31, of Snape Drive, Lowestoft, has denied robbery and having a knife on February 22 this year.

During the incident Lee allegedly held a kitchen knife to the frightened 24-year-old man's throat and told him he'd recently been released from prison and wasn't someone to be messed with.

Michael Procter, prosecuting, said Lee had made off from the victim's flat in Denmark Road, Lowestoft with two of his mobile phones, a games console and his bike.

The court has heard that Lee saw the man in a store in Lowestoft and claimed that he or his brother owed him £80.

Lee had then allegedly accompanied the man back to his flat and made off with his phones, games console and bike after holding a knife at his throat.

The trial continues.
