Detectives in Waveney are appealing for help from Gorleston residents as they investigate the reported kidnapping of a woman.
It is believed to have happened from around 3pm onwards on Monday.
A 34-year-old man from Gorleston has been arrested on suspicion of kidnap and bailed to return to police on May 14.
The woman, aged in her 20s, was released uninjured.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the Church Lane/ High Street/ Gorleston seafront area who may have seen a silver vehicle being driven erratically, or who may have noticed any dispute between the occupants of a vehicle on Monday afternoon.
