A primary school says it has shown it is matching up to Ofsted's increasing demands after it was rated as 'good' by Government inspectors.
Forest Academy's leadership said it is 'delighted' with the rating after inspectors visited in late May.
A report was released this week which showed the school was rated as good in all four of its categories: leadership, teaching, achievement, and behaviour and safety.
Maria Curry, executive principal, said: 'The ever increasing demands of Ofsted raises the bar higher and higher, therefore to be judged 'good' in all four categories and have many 'outstanding' features is something to celebrate.'
Highlights of the report include children being above national expectations by the time they leave reception, outstanding progress being made in Key Stage 1 and high standards of reading, writing and mathematics by the end of Year 2.
Areas for improvement outlined in the report include work not being properly tailored to children and gaps between different groups of pupils being too wide.
