A poorly child was taken to hospital after the air ambulance was scrambled to Dereham.
People living in the Gilpin's Ride area of the town said the helicopter landed on the the playing field of the Saint Nicholas Junior School just before 8am.
They said the aircraft spent around 15 minutes on the ground, before taking off again. A spokesman for the East of England Air Ambulance said it had been called to assist a young child who had suffered what was described as 'a serious medical incident'.
The child was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital by land ambulance.
