Mr Hughes, who has been helping the hospital to innovate and introduce new dishes to patients and visitors, said: 'I have been enjoying being part of the hospital community and cannot wait to be part of the Christmas fayre raising money for such a good local cause.

'During the cookery demonstration we will be giving some top tips and answering those tricky Christmas cooking question from members of the public.'

Entertainment will be provided by live performance from Busybodies Stage School, the N&N choir, Scunsulata, Little Red Shoes.

People will also be able to enjoy a performance of bell ringing by the Belfok Ringers.

Louise Cook, fundraising manager at the N&N, praised the team of knitters, who will sell knitted toys to raise funds specifically for the neonatal intensive care unit, and everyone else involved.

The Christmas fayre will take place on Thursday, December 11 at the N&N from 4pm to 8pm.

Cookery demonstrations will be from 5pm to 6pm.
