A new, but experienced, production team staged a fun Aladdin.

It was written by Nigel Holmes, and produced and directed by Ian Cashmore and well-known funny man Pat Nearney.

Combined with the backdrop and technical team work, the result was a 2½-hour programme which held the audience's attention.

The audience, young and mature, were involved with the production throughout.

Vocalist Sharron Jiggins played Aladdin in traditional style, while Cerian Ellson was Princess Yasmine, and Neil Ellson the 'baddy' Abanazar.

The show was held together by, Widow Twankey, played by Pat Nearney aided by Paul Reynolds as Wishee Washee.

Laced into the song, fun and quirky jokes, were little errors, almost intentional, which added more flavour.

The panto runs all this week up to Saturday February 21, with performances starting at 7.30pm, and is well worth a cheer-up visit.

Tickets (£6.50 adults, £3.50 for the under 12's) are available from Corner House Café on Cromer Road, Mundesley.

Proceeds will be distributed to three worthy local charities - the local First Responders, East Anglian Air Ambulance and Together We Share, a charity fund in memory of former panto regular Trevor Sizer.
