Canaries season ticket sales are up more than 2pc on this time last season, the club has revealed.

Norwich City bosses have hailed loyal fans for their support in Carrow Road's 80th year, after the board of directors decided to freeze prices for the second consecutive year.

There are just over 900 supporters remaining who have until the second deadline, or the final deadline on May 2, to renew their season ticket, before any remaining tickets will go on sale to the fans on the waiting list.

City chief executive David McNally said: 'We make no apologies for saying year after year that we are blessed with amazing fans here at Norwich, who have once again shown their loyalty and commitment to the club by signing up for season tickets in their thousands.

'With the vast majority signing up by the first deadline, this not only ensures they benefit from the best possible prices, but also gives the club vital assistance in helping to plan financially for the season ahead with confidence and clarity.

'With sales set once again to be capped at 22,000, we would certainly urge those out there who have yet to renew their season ticket to do so before the deadlines have expired, at which point we will begin selling to those supporters on the waiting list.'

The number of supporters choosing to make a voluntary donation to the academy in 2015-16 has also risen to 9,923 so far, also up on the figure from last year.

Aside from season ticket sales, a new national record crowd of 10,254 saw the under-21s triumph over Spurs at Carrow Road in October,

and in total so far this season more than 38,000 tickets have been issued for U21s games at Carrow Road.
