What do Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and the University of East Anglia's Sainsbury Centre all have in common? They can be seen in the Hollywood blockbuster Avengers: Age of Ultron.
The art gallery and museum features in the closing scenes of the Marvel Comics superhero film, a follow-up to Avengers Assemble - the third highest-grossing film of all time.
After the main events of the film are over, earth's mightiest heroes - including Iron Man, played by Downey Jr and Chris Evans' Captain America – create a
training camp for superheroes, setting up for the next phase of Marvel Cinematic Universe, which was filmed in the Modern Life Cafe.
And you don't have to worry about a blink and you miss it moment, the centre is featured for around five minutes with scenes also shot in the curved corridor and by the lake.
Penelope Lucas, marketing and communications officer at the centre, said she had no idea what was to come when she received a call from the film's production team in April 2014.
She said: 'They made an enquiry and once we knew what it is, we knew it was going to be massive. And then the film's director Joss Whedon came to do some recce.'
The film crew arrived in Norwich on June 10 2014 to set the scene with the actors arriving to film on June 13.
'It was just superb,' said Ms Lucas. 'We're hoping people will visit us because it was the place that was the training ground for superheroes in the Avengers movie.'
With two more sequels in the pipeline it could mean Norwich will get to see the Avengers assemble once again at the Sainsbury Centre.
