A new food and drink festival coming to west Norfolk promises to be an inspirational event for specialist fans.

The Sandringham Food and Drink festival, at the Sandringham estate on the weekend of August 8/9, will celebrate artisan regional and local food and drink in East Anglia, and will also have a summer festival feel about it, with jazz and country bands.

A top line-up of national and regional star chefs will give demonstrations including Levi Roots, Dean Edwards, The Fabulous Baker Brothers, Shelina Permalloo and Mark Lloyd.

Marge Needham, a spokesman for Living Heritage country shows, said: 'This is the first dedicated food festival we have brought to Norfolk and only the second one in the country, after Nottingham last year. We already hold a lot of events in Sandringham, and thought it would be the perfect venue.'

There will be further cookery demonstrations by chefs from local eateries along with produce and product daily demonstrations.

The festival's range of food halls will feature a line-up of local and regional speciality food and drink producers, and visitors will be able to relax and eat in the piazza.

Music will be provided by the FB Pocket Orchestra, and Saxaphonix, an award-winning 10-piece youth saxophone band. There will also be a series of marquees housing craftsmen at work.

Open 10am-6pm daily. For full show details, view www.sandringhamfoodfestival.co.uk
