A 1.8 acre holiday static caravan park in Caister has been sold for a guide a price of £895,000.

Acting on behalf of the private owner, Andrew Penman, Colliers International's specialist parks team has sold Eastern Beach Caravan Park to private operators Matthew and Alice Kemp.

The buyers are local entrepreneurs who are making their first venture into the holiday park sector.

Richard Moss, Head of Colliers International's Parks, Sports and Marinas team, said: 'Alice comes from a family of hoteliers and possesses the knowledge and experience to take this already successful park to the next level. Whilst Matthew's hands-on experience of property developing will ensure the improvement scheme they have planned is well executed.'

The site developed with 56 static caravan pitches, has direct access to the beach and the park includes substantial on site facilities including a clubhouse with bars, an entertainment lounge and amusements arcade.

A statement from Mr and Mrs Kemp said: 'We're excited to take over the reins of the park and look forward to welcoming new and old customers whilst implementing an extensive programme of improvements.

'This will provide upgraded caravans and a modern cafe and retail experience whilst still retaining the warm, family feel that the park is known for.'
