Five drummers are on course to get their names in the Guinness Book of World Records, as they enter the final stage in their attempt to play non-stop for 80 hours.
Holly Jones, Lorraine Dorrington, Aaron Houseago, Ryan Murray and Janel Spalding, from JDT Music Academy in Dereham, are aiming to claim the world record for the longest drumming marathon by a team.
They began at 10am on Friday and are still going strong at the academy, in Charles Wood Road. They aim to play the drums non-stop until 6pm on Monday.
Tiggy Howe, JDT manager and event organiser, said: 'They are all still looking amazing. It's sheer determination. They've got every chance of completing it.'
The academy has already held the record twice before, and thought it had set a world record for a third time last year when eight people drummed for 72 hours and one minute. However, a technical fault cost them their coveted title.
Their epic adventure is being shown live on the big screen at Tesco in Dereham.
They are raising money for a new premises, Dereham's Christmas Lights Fund and Dereham Carnival 2017.
